First reaction
I just want to say, publicly, that my local FOX station is run by COMPLETE MORONS.
That is all.
Well no that is not all. During American Idol, which I'd never admit to watching but secretly do but shhh don't tell anyone, the station started getting bad interference, crappy fuzzy sound etc. So I begin to panic. I actually picked up my phone and called the station to tell them they better have it fixed before 24 airs. Eventually it cleared up and I breathed a sigh of relief.
24 starts. Ohhhh Michelle you lucky dog. Jack's being sympathetic and nice to Jane, using a nice PowerPoint presentation to explain that he used to know her father - we got to see some shots of the events that took place during Operation Nightfall which was cool. Commercial break and the fuzz begins to return, but miraculously it's gone when the show starts again. Saunders realises Jack's got Jane after she calls him on an emergency number and CTU gets a lock on his location. Fuzz, fuzz, nooooo, ok it cleared up again.
Michelle gets her test results - she's immune! A lovely lovely little I Love You scene with Tony that brought tears to my eyes followed. Adam informs the team that the outbreak will begin increasing exponentially. Later Chloe discovers that Adam's sister was in one of the quarantined areas, and that she's infected. Kim and Jane are stuck a train crossing as they head back to CTU and a man in black on a motorcycle pulls up beside them and looks menacingly into the car. More fuzz, then my screen goes black. NOOOOooooooo. A string of very loud expletives fall out of my mouth, my pillow takes a beating, I break out in a sweat. There are 10 minutes left in the flippin' episode and I have no picture. Frustration mounts, anger mounts, especially when I realise that I've got the entire season on tape and now, NOW I get bad reception. I look outside, there's no bad weather, no wind... ARGH!
The screen flashes, it's Chloe, Tony and Adam having an argument. I've no clue what happened. Has Kim been kidnapped again?? Did he fling a vial of virus into the car?? Oh I'm so mad I could just spit. But then the picture becomes clear, and I guess Adam's made some kind of mistake. Jack has Saunders surrounded, so Saunders nicks Michelle as she is taken to NHS for observation. He uses her as leverage against Tony to get him to clear surveillance away from one of the building entrances. And then the bastard just walks out. La la la, as if he's off to get a pizza or something. Argh Tony you eejit!
And there's a mini recap for tonight. more details to come as soon as I fecking find out what I missed :(
