    Gael

I'm going to take a moment and say that Michelle and Gael's final scene together was utterly amazing. Definitely needed the box of tissue for this episode. I won't say much more about this and save it for the recap (coming tomorrow - sorry I would love to write it all out right now, but frankly they take me hours to do and I have to get up early and like, earn money and stuff :).)

There's been quite a lot of debate as to whether Michelle's actions against the panicked guest were justified. Some people feel that she committed murder when she shot him as he tried to leave the hotel. I can't quite buy that argument myself and nothing that's been said on it has convinced me to change my mind. It was justified, in my opinion. She was acting under direct orders from Chappelle to shoot to kill anyone who tried to escape. She fired warning shots. She told him what she would do if he attempted to leave. He chose not to believe she'd do it. But she did, and he's dead. Judging from tonight's episode I was right when I said she was filled with remorse about it. It was fantastic to watch a wide range of emotion play across Reiko's face as she showed Michelle to be regretful of what she had to do, but maintain her strength to keep everyone calm, all while facing her own mortality.

I have adored Reiko since I first saw her in Season 2 and I'm so chuffed she's being given such meaty episodes in which to show her talent. She just had me in tears tonight as she faced Gael and said goodbye. *sniffle*

Ack I haven't mentioned Jack! There's a first. There's was definitely a plethora of Jack tonight which should make the 'ettes very happy :) I know I was. But I have to say that this was the first episode in a long time where I was equally engrossed in the other storylines (yes even Palmer's),

So we had action, we had anxiety and fear, tenseness, a bit of nudity for Kiefer (not OF Kiefer mind you, heehee), a bit of shouting at the tv (unscrew it faster Jack!), a bit of Chicken Little, and we had another graphic violence warning. It was a great, "Holy Shit!" episode. The recap will be up tomorrow.
