We interrupt this blog...
...for a brief commercial break.
This has nothing whatsoever to do with 24 - my apologies - but I get a lot of traffic here so I figured I'd post this anyway.
For nearly ten years now I've been a part of a 'chat' place called TCZ (The Chatting Zone). It's been in existence for longer than that and stems from the times when MUDs and MUSH's were quite popular. So to use TCZ, telnet is the best way to get there. But we have a web interface, and a JAVA telnet client available for anyone unfamiliar with telnetting. The telnet address is: tcz.dcs.qmul.ac.uk port 8342. Our website address is TCZ.org.
TCZ is a dynamic world that allows you to become a builder and create your own environments, games, RPG's - just about anything you can think of is possible there. We have virtual games such as Yahtzee, Poker, Scrabble, Monopoly, a Stock Market based on stocks in the real world, TCZBingo and tons more that I can't think of off the top of my head. In the past we've had 2 'seasons' of TCZ Big Brother in which users are locked in a room and forced to interact only with each other and complete challenges while the rest of us watch their every move :) And currently TCZ Survivor is in the works.
We're a UK-based MUD/Chat that has users from around the world connecting (some are even fans of 24, fancy that :) ) and I think we've got one of the best friendly chat envirnoments out there. I know there are squillions of chatrooms online, some more slick than a telnet chat, but I think we're fairly unique among them and have a lot to offer.
So at the risk of sounding even more geeky than I already have, please stop in, create a character for yourself and check us out. I can usually be found there and am an administrator as well so I'd be more than happy to help get you acclimated. Actually we have a great admin team who can do that as well.
Ok enough of that. Back to our regularly scheduled Jack-worship :)
