"I've been waiting for this."
Did anyone else get shivers when Jack said that to Marwan? I still have goosebumps just thinking of it. And the look on his face as he pressed the gun against Marwan's temple, his knee crushed against the wound causing fresh waves of pain to course through Marwan's body... The intensity pouring out of Jack's eyes, the gritted teeth giving him a feral look as he slowly traced the tip of the gun along the side of his face. His only thought at this moment is to put an end to this man who's ruined Jack's chance at a normal, happy life. *shiver*That rocked hard.
Good scene.
To completely switch gears, I think Tony and Michelle will reconcile if not by the end of the day, then we'll be left knowing that it will happen. Michelle didn't want things to end up this way you see and Tony can't stand being without her. *dreamy sigh*
"Chloe, we don't have time for your personality disorder." Bwah!!!! But awww, I don't think it's a disorder so much as a loveable eccentricity. I'm so glad Chloe's a part of this show because to me it's a nice balance between intense and a sort of grim comedy.
I'm not sure what to make of Palmer this episode. Seems to me that he would have learned his lesson about 'getting hands dirty' while he was Pres. It never worked for him then so why's he so quick to jump on board the plausible deniability train? Oh I know that getting Lee and his info was top priority blah blah blah but as I watched the snowball effect of lies and coverup that took place when the Chinese Embassy's head of security showed up at CTU I just shook my head. Now everyone's deep in it and it was supposed to be covert.
Audrey, honey, I know that was a tough thing to go through and now having to reconcile the fact that a mere 24 hours earlier you were about to profess your love to Jack and now he's responsible for the death of your husband - a man you were going to leave Jack for mind you now that he needs you... But you were just going to go back to Paul because he was heroic and needed help recovering. You conveniently forgot about all of the crap he did that made you separate from him in the first place. It wouldn't have been long before you realized your mistake. Take some time. Mourn Paul's death and come to grips with the fact that Jack had no choice and the needs of the many outweighed the needs of a few. Then go back to Jack because somehow I'm fairly certain he'll wait for you. That's Mel's advice honey. Trust me and take it.
And President Wussy - grow a pair and let Palmer do his thang damnit. Even if I don't quite agree with what he's doing, I doubt I could do it. So just trust him.
Only 2 episodes left :( That sucks much.
