Tell Audrey I love her
Ahhhh shouts of, "OH MY GOD!" fill the room once more. I did not expect Heller to do a Thelma & Louise off the cliff at all. I thought he would do some spiffy drive tactics to try and lose the chopper and then he'd show up at the hangar to reunite with Audrey. Instead he owned up to his grave error, apologized for it, told his daughter he loved her and proceeded to plummet into a handy lake nearby.
That was hawesome (TM Wil Wheaton.)
But I am ahead of myself. Sorry. I was just so awed by Heller's sacrifice.
So here I am blogging from memory again :) We began with Jack and Audrey in the hangar at Van Nuys. Audrey, if you recall, had just had her arm slashed and was bleeding profusely all over the floor. Well now Jack was field dressing her (if ya know what I mean *wink wink*... just kidding.) Wexler, the agent who had been holding the recording's phone rang and Jack answered. It was Heller. Without going into detail Jack told him Henderson got the recording back. The cool thing was even though Jack laid a bit of a guilt trip on him, he asked Jack's forgiveness for his mistake. Definitely an honorable man. Anyway heller told Jack he had to get that recording back no matter what the consequences now.
Now, Chloe had escaped CTU's clutches and had arrived at Buchanan's house. She and Jack hooked back up and Jack had her using CTU resources remotely to track Henderson. He turned out to be not that far away. So Jack and Audrey jumped in a nearby police cruiser and sped off to intercept.
At the Presidential retreat, Logan and Henderson had a little chat about the recording. Logan wanted it destroyed - but Henderson said, "Ummmmmmm no." See, Henderson needs a little 'you kill me, I ruin you' insurance and refuses to destroy the recording. Instead he says it will be kept very safe.
By this time, Chloe has helped Jack get to Henderson and Jack runs his sorry ass off the road. After a showdown in a barn that he crashed into, Jack apprehends him. But while he's in a standoff with him, Henderson informs him that he, of course, has a contingency plan.
A helicopter has been tracking Heller after he left the Presidential compound and has orders to kill Heller should he miss the fifteen minute update. Jack calls Chloe and has her find Heller's car and download its location to his PDA. Next, he calls Heller himself and asks him to confirm that there is a chopper over his car. There is indeed.
Knowing he has very little time to get the recording from Henderson and save Heller, Heller instead forces Henderson's hand by declaring that Jack is not to give in to Henderson. He asks Jack to tell Audrey he loves her and well, drives off a cliff. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! I? was gobsmacked.
Poor Audrey. Poor pissed-off Audrey. Now she wants Henderson dead.
When Heller drove off the cliff Jack's armour broke down a little and he went a little off the rails on Henderson. Truly, he could not understand why Henderson was doing what he's doing. He asked him what happened to him. he asked him why he was doing this with such a look of confusing in his eyes it was heartbreaking. This was someone Jack once trusted and worked closely with. Perhaps he saw a path he himself could have walked down given the right circumstances - and perhaps it scared him a little.
But after all of that, Henderson admits to Jack that he doesn't have the recording anyway. *le sigh*
What does Jack do? Clocks him good with his gun, knocking him out. He cuffs him to a pipe by a wall and contacts Chloe. It turns out the reason Henderson wasn't far from the hangar when Jack got on his trail was because he had stopped for a while to hand off the recording to someone on another part of the Van Nuys airport. He had CHloe backtrace the sat feed and they found an airplane preparing for departure. A little geeky magic and they discover it's a diplomatic flight which is why its allowed to take off even though flights are supposed to still be grounded.
Jack has Buchanan contact Curtis (yay Curtis is coming back!) to come to the barn they're hanging out in and secure Henderson and get him and Audrey back to CTU. At first he tells Audrey he won't go intercept the plane until Curtis arrives but Audrey talks him into going anyway. She'll be fine yadda yadda yadda. Reluctantly, Jack goes after a tender moment with Audrey.
Meanwhile, back at CTU, Karen Hayes is becoming more and more suspicious about Logan's orders. Then it's reported to her that Chloe escaped and crazy sexual harassment girl let her go. When CSHG admits that Chloe intimidated her and told her there was some weird plot involving Logan and his duplicity, Karen pretty much confirmed her fears.
Back at the barn, Henderson comes to and tries to play on Audrey's grief. He knows she's upset and in pain so he quietly begins to tell her there's a chance her dad could still be alive if there was an air pocket in the car when he crashed. He wanted her to use a phone to call for help for her dad. But Audrey's not an idiot. She knows she can be tracked if she uses the phone. They had a bit of an emotional scene but she kept Henderson contained. I don't care what anyone thinks about her, I like Audrey. She's tough.
Unfortunately, Chloe, who was keeping a spare eye on the chopper tracking Heller noticed it was zeroing in on the barn. She called Jack and told him the dire news and he phoned Audrey and told her to get out of there. Curtis wasn't going to beat the chopper there. But Audrey said she could kill Henderson. Jack said no. Let him go and get the hell out of there.
As the chopper landed Audrey pointed the gun at Henderson and fought with her better judgement for a bit. And it won out and she ran off. But she managed to get herself cornered. As she prepared to start shooting at the thugs looking for her (on Hnderson's orders of shoot to kill) Curtis grabbed her and saved the day :) Woohoo!! I'm glad he's back.
A very relieved Jack heard about Curtis securing everything and was then free to concentrate on finding a way onto the plane that's about to take off.
Now, a new character has been intro'd. I think his name is Graham, but I'm going to call him Romano. I'm not really sure who he is but apparently he and his gang of suits are more powerful than Logan. Then again, Logan is about as powerful as... umm.. a not very powerful person. My metaphor powers are waning at the moment.
Anyway Romano and Logan have a little chat and Romano tells him that while the Henderson issue may be contained, Logan has a bigger problem with his wife. Logan says he will take care of it. Meanwhile Martha is stressing because Aaron has gone missing and didn't make it to their meet. Secret Service keeps telling her he's been transferred which she isn't buying. I really hope he wasn't killed :( Or if he is to be killed, Aaron deserves an on-camera death.
So the Secret Service sort of guide Martha into a room - and lock her in which of course freaks her out. Until Logan comes in and tells her everything. Which freaks her out. He then asks her to keep her mouth shut about everything - but in his whiny, it's for the good of the country bullshit way. Which really freaks her out. She utters the best line of the night: "I hate you." Yes folks, that was the best because I've been saying it all season.
But despite her newfound hatred for her husband, she agreed to keep her mouth shut. We'll see if she actually does.
At CTU, Karen Hayes' sidekick (who's just jealous of Chloe's skillz - have I mentioned that before?) manages to track down Chloe's location and sends a team to get her. But after Hayes makes a call to Mike Novick who confirms her fears more by what he didn't say than what he did say, she decides to warn Buchanan to get Chloe out of his house. But she refuses to go because Jack needs the passenger list for the plane.
So the show ends with Jack sneaking on board (with some pretty slick moves of riding in on top of the fuel truck, then jumping over to the luggage truck, then grabbing a couple of bags and casually carrying them right up the conveyor belt into the luggage hold. I guess that hood of his makes him invisible :) ) and Martha commencing to getting drunk. You go girl.
Fantastic show tonight guys. RIP Heller. And don't take this the wrong way, but I hope he is actually dead and they don't pull a soap opera thing by having him show up in an episode or two having "miraculously" escaped the sinking car and sucking on tire air or something. His was a good death. It should be left at that.

I agree it was a good death and I hope it stays at that way! I love the little Alias dig with the "sucking on tire air" comment.
I love reading your Blog every week after 24. Keep Up the good recaps!
Yeah another good epsisode, I hope Pierce was really transferred and not killed. (tony's death sucked but man, this would totally blow of piece got killed)
Next week should be even better. :)
I still can't shake off the image from the last episode's scene in which Audrey was standing with her blood dripping off her arm. To me that was even more shocking than Heller's Thelma & Louise plunge. In this episode I just wanted her to kill Henderson like crazy a la Tarantino's films, which would have made the season. Anyway, I know pretty much everybody was expecting another plot twist beyond Logan's involvement, but I have no idea who the hell this new mastermind guy out of the blue is. I was anticipating a major surprize about this. Maybe there's still a big surprize yet to come before the final hour.
I began to have sneaking suspicions that Logan had a hand in Cummings "suicide" and tonite's episode helped bolster that theory. I was thinking Heller would do some dodging around to try and make a convincing moving target...never saw him doing the Thelma and Louise deal tho. Sad. Heller rocked.
Thank you for your awesome posts. You have the best 24 recap because you concisely put together all the thoughts that are running through my head during the episode.
I am really interested in how this whole plane setting is going to work out because in the past I never really liked the whole plane deal. But it is so close to the end of the season that something crazy must be going down.
A part of me wanted to see Audrey shoot Henderson. I wonder how much more they will use him since there is no way he'll give up any information.
Anyways, thanks
Great episode. I feel the tide is finally turning.
- Wasn't the look on Henderson's face priceless when he was finally captured. He knew it was over for him. And what a return for Curtis! Can't wait for him to stride into CTU next week with Henderson and Audrey in tow.
- Another actor from the original Robocop!! Remember the bad guy that was covered in toxic ooze and then splattered (literally) by the car? I don't know his name, but that actor can chew some scenery. "When I need to focus, I think of my kids." Great line, tells a lot about his character. Also great in ER. But, yeah, what's his deal showing up all of a sudden? International powerbroker with enough power to talk down to a US President? Seems a lot like Nathanson so far.
- Now we have confirmation that Logan had Cummings killed. By who? One of his secret service agent thugs?
- In real life the President cannot randomly reassign secret service agents. They are responsible for his life and do not answer to him. I think Logan is holding Aaron somewhere, as he would not have left his cellphone if he was "transferred". It was a clue for Martha, whose looks like she's getting lit on the wine. Should add some life to her dull:)personality. Good way to handle things if you have a problem with people not taking you seriously. Anyway, Logan doesn't seem like he has the balls to order someone's death himself, so I am trusting that Aaron will reappear. Maybe get freed by Mike?
-As to Logan "handling" Martha, way to lay it down. Admitting what you did and believing that she'll keep her mouth shut. Yeah, right. He was about to send her off earlier, why not do it again? Is Romano the name of the third Robocop guy? Anyway, that guy believing Logan that everything is cool with Martha will be part of their undoing. (assumptions make an ass of u and me)
- Heller doing a Thelma and Louise...c'mon!! TRY to live why don't you! A little evasive driving. And since when does the Secretary of Defense drive himself at night down lonely, hilly roads? Let me know the next time Rumsfeld does that. I know some folks that would like that travel route. How about calling the closest tac team, have Heller do some evasive driving and stall until they get there to shoot down the helicopter? Or calling his own military to send a fighter to shoot it down. If an F-16 wasn't already in the air, it could have taken off and been there in 3 minutes. For all these reasons, I think Heller will appear on the riverbank barely alive. It's just to easy an death to survive. Isn't that some movie law that when the car goes into the river/ocean, and no body is found, the person in the car has survived?. But the 24 writers do not hold to convention, so maybe he is dead. Just covering all my bases.
- Hey, I think Chloe may not be a bad guy, who thought of that whole stupid idea? BUT, according to her article in USA Today, she will be back next season and there will be a BIG development with her this by this season's end.
- I was screaming at Karen - "DO IT! CALL HIM!! CALL BUCHANON!! YESS!! SHE"S CALLING BUCHANON!!" Awesome. I like her. The face of common sense. Can't wait to see her fire Miles in some future episode.
- Not sure about the whole plane thing next week. I am one of those folks who believes it is way to early for that movie Flight 93. I don't particularly want to see Jack start a hostage stand off on an airplane and have more innocents get killed. Hopefully the writers will get out of it cleanly.
- And Bierko is waking up! And Henderson will probably be killed in custody.
I love this show. Don't get mad at me for hoping and trying to make sense of it all.

Some other thoughts from the previous blogs.
- I thought the same thing about the German agent reappearing. Jack definitely left him pissed off and poised for revenge. Hope Jack doesn't have to rely on him next week.
- I was hoping Audrey of Jack would put a bullet in Henderson, also. Maybe in a kneecap, foot, or take off an ear. Kneecap would have been best, then he would be immobilized.
- About Romano having planned things for 18 months, wasn't there a dea like that at the end of season 2 when Palmer got the poison via the handshake? Wasn't there some big international conspiracy that was beginning then? Not saying this is the same bunch, just that the writers have laid this out before and we've never heard of it again. I think we would have seen the Chinese by now. Unless they are paying Romano to set everyhing up to take down Russia AND the US President. Hmmm.
mike13
That conspiracy you speak of is gone into more depth in the 24 Game, although it would be cool if something was revealed that tied up all 5 seasons into one plot line. It's also been suggested that the 'Power Room' of guys revealed in this episode were part of the Illuminati - an alleged shadowy conspiratorial organisation which controls world affairs 'behind the scenes'.
I hope they don't go down a path like Alias or Xfiles. Let's keep everything grounded in reality - you know what I mean. I don't want Jack off to fight some some shadowy "Power Room" that is bigger than government. That's the path the Xfiles went down at the end,and other shows when they ran out of fresh ideas. Usually a series is downhill after that point. Remember how good the Xfiles was when we feared the cigarette smoking man and he pulled the strings? Remember what happened after they killed him off and we had to deal with the "Power Room"? Yeah, I slowly stopped watching, too. We,ve got at least 3 more years to go with 24. mike13

hey mike,
can you hook me up with a link to this article? i want to see what exactly she said...
thanks man....
nah... the "Power Room" guys have GOT to be from Halliburton... or maybe Exxon/Mobil
can't WAIT for next week!
Thoughts on the British flag - only Brit I can remember is Audrey's now-dead husband Paul from last season. Maybe a relative in the deal for revenge against Jack ? I still haven't bought in to Audrey being completely innocent in the whole mess...
Secretary Heller is not dead...it was rumored that he was under contract obligations with ABC and could only do 3 episodes of 24. No more than that. This is whats being said from very reliable sources. And those same sources said that this was a stunt death to make the audience think he was dead. He will not return this season, but it is said he is contracted to have a big role next season. a BIG role....many beleive they may be hinting on the presidency. But since the writers of 24 probably have barely begun writing next season, who knows how accurate this info is.
I really, REALLY like Heller and think he would make an awesome president. But I like the way they presented his death. Owning up to his mistake and sacrificing himself so Jack could keep Henderson and bring down the Logan's house of cards. I'm split. I want him to come back and stay dead. I guess I'll have to have it both ways...next season...zombie Heller!!!! grrrrr
Finally, some new development in this season!
I am irritated by the way "heros" are presented in 24: There is some option for you to die and you quickly take it, here you are! Heller might have had a chance to survive but he just killed himself. He did that ONLY in order not to lead Jack into temptation to let Henderson go, i.e. he was quite convinced that Jack would be weak (Jack has changed a bit, he would have accepted Audrey's or Heller's death if it was worth it in earlier episodes.) I am not sure if Heller knew that Jack had a satellite live stream on him. Just saying "Say Audrey I love her" and switching off the phone should have been enough to convince Jack, according to Heller!? So I do not think this was rational, but he is seen as a hero just because of his death. Similar with McGill: He could have tried to tape his mouth and nose with a little chance of being reanimated later, but the will to survive seemes not to be appropriate for a hero.
Why did Jack want Henderson alive? He knows that Henderson never talks (even when faced with torture) Knowing he was going to be freed by his men, he clearly would be a problem in the future. BTW: Did Jack search Henderson for weapons or the recording? Believing him seems a bit naive. I did not see Jack taking Henderson's phone. I would appreciate a little talk between Jack and Logan.
We have to new groups: A group of diplomats from Britain, France and Germany with at least one having contact to Henderson and the "Power room". First question: If these diplomats from different countries travel together this seems to be a delegation. Where do they go? Russia? Remember that the Russian president is probably still in the US (is he?). I have seen no American cars. Looks like some mediation.
The Power room: Ok, we now know who the intelligence is that tells Logan about what his wife, Aaron Pierce, Wayne Palmer and everything around him. We had expected that, BUT: this is BIGGER: they have been working out this plan and giving orders to the president. And it was pointed out before that they started exactly at the end of episode 4. This strengthes my belief that Chloe is involved (Chloe as main villain next episode!)
Graham says: "Think about your children. That´s what I do." (quoted from memory). Looks like some patriot group again. Graham and Logan are talking about another truth Martha could find out about. Is this the nerve gas thing or something else? The other man talking in the Power room seems to have a slight French accent (or is it just dialect). But I do not know the actor's background. Does anyone know more?
Why didn´t the Power Room interfere earlier? A Russian president killed on American soil could have had severe consequences on any plan you have.
At leat some loose ends have been closed: Walt Cummings suicide was a fake. Bierko is still alive and is awake now. We know who told Henderson about Wayne Palmer and handled Pierce (maybe Pierce was Henderson's contact in the plane, would be a nice idea ... no, I like him!). Curtis is back, though I wonder how he could move his TAG team somewhere without orders from CTU!?
I am still convinced that Bierko's interrogation will lead to a new twist. Maybe the assassination of Suvarov was not a contingency plan but a primary. At least his statement about Logan handing him out the travel routes will compromise Logan within CTU (that's why I wonder that he is still alive).
Great expectations!
michael
You are right about the heroes. Henderson was on the verge of becoming like Jason Voorhees (unkillable). I think Heller knew Jack could see him because he asked about the helicopter. But I was disappointed he didn't go out fighting.
- I think the death of the Russian president was the goal. Logan did everything he could to make sure it would happen.
- Bierko's interogation will give HS/CTU more insights as to Logan's involvement. That's why the logical thing for them (Powerroom) is to kill Henderson and Bierko. I don't think any of them will try to get a Presidential pardon.
- The article about Chloe was in Monday's USAToday.com, Life section. It was an interview the actress who plays her. She said she believed Chloe was secretly (subconsciously) in love with Jack and that there would be a big emotional revelation about Chloe before season's end. She also said she was signed on for next season and that the writers did not realize how strong our reaction would be to Edgar's death, so they would definitely keep Chloe around.
As far as Chloe being involved, I am thinking now that she may have told somebody, trusted sombody, she now regrets talking to. She IS the only one left alive who knew Jack was really alive.

First off, I love 24!! At work every Tuesday we walk around chanting "Twenty foooouuuurrrrr!!!". People who are not in the know just kind of cower and stroll off. We analyze it to death every week. We are IT professional geeks, so we can cross reference everything on the Net all day. I have never been to this site, but I must say, it is cool!
So here is some of the things we are talking about this week:
1. Might as well hit up the cliffdiving skills of Herr Heller. Not bad, predictable (yes I called in on the couch as soon as the sat pic showed the windy road!). I didnt expect the lake, but 24 writers love ambiguity and possibilites. Will he survive? Heh did Samwise last a good long time with the Centrex gas in his lungs? We shall see what happens here.
2. Capturing Henderson...well, what is the point of him now? Does anyone get that? He has already been to CTU and NOT been broken by their toughest methods. Now CTU is HS and is a puppet (maybe not for long though) of Logan. I think Henderson is actually SAFER at CTU since Jack cannot get to him there. I would love to see the final showdown between them later (about 6am???). Bierko will be next to useless too. He knows nothing really, just a hardline pawn with no remorse about loosing nerve gas and an itchy trigger finger. Most viewers need to remember, the more insane a character is, the less useful they are. Either way, Henderson doesnt have the tape and believes he is untouchable, and pretty much is unkillable in the script anyway.
3. Da Plane - what is this plane all about? It definitely has the tape on board, we know that. It has all the LA area ambassadors and embassy personnel too. Jack sneaks in there with another super lame series of security dodging techniques that just makes me go "OK Sure, you do that." Like when I used to play DD when I was 13. Wherever Jack is in the episode is unfortunately beset by 'Suspension of Disbelief' disease. So next week expect impossiblities galore to happen on that plane. All this talk of who is the German and where is the Brit is just hot air folks. Everyone on that plane is expendible and has a 'Kill me Jack Bauer' tee shirt on. Hey wait! That might just be a hot item to sell to 24 fans! You heard it here first.
4. The Star Chamber - Who are these guys? The slimeboy from Robocop is apparently in charge of this whole thing. He has a room full of trendy suits to sort of cast an ominous shadow on us all. I really dont care who they are. I just want more of them. In terms of screenwriting, these guys are the uberbaddies that need no explanation. I like the idea of them being connected to the Chinese and Russians. Jack will face down a Chinese assassin later tonight. Mark my words, you heard it here first!
5. Chloe and Audrey - Who is more in love with Jack? That is the question. Is there no doubt that the introverted pseudo-male Chloe is in love with our hero. She is willing to PICKPOCKET Miles like a street urchin from 'Oliver' and confront whoever and break whatever protocol or law to help him. I wonder if she was just fantasy F@cking that zipperhead in week 1 as if he was Jack. AUdrey on the other hand is damaged goods. If in fact her father is dead, and she knows about the farm mom that Jack was humping in his hiding out days, she might not be up to any butting uglies with him any time soon. I think Jack and Chloe could just about rule the world together!!
6. Where's Wayne?? Just what the hell? Is this a major biff in the writing? As far as I remember, Jack, Buchanon and Wayne all met in a parking lot 2 weeks ago and Wayne left with Bill Buc. Now we are at Bill's house with Chloe and Wayne is what? Taking a nap? Watching 2am SportCenter? Hmmm...
7. Logan and Martha. Does anyone see just plain coincidence that there have been only 2 first ladies named Martha? Is that too few or too many? Martha is just about as big a wildcard as possible. I love that the writers are keen enough to know that the first lady makes some serious waves in any administration. Especially one as friggen corrupt as Logan's. I just want them to leave that crappy wooden retreat already. I just hate the knick-knacks just out of focus on every shelf in every room. What kind of swag does the president keep around?
That is all for now. Comments, suggestions, clues where the eff Wayne is? Help me out here
Hey, someelse who has too much time at work!
- I think Wayne is there, hopefully sleeping. It is 3 or 4 am isn't it? Or maybe he's making funeral arrangements. He'll show up next episode. Just like Curtis and Mike.
- Remember that Henderson's interrogation was interrupted by the nerve gas attack. He put himself into the trance to get to a less secure location so he could escape. Jack would never have let him if he wasn't distracted with everyone else in CTU dropping dead. So I think they can definitely get some useful info from him with the proper time and methods, but I think he and Bierko will be targeted for death by a -real twist here - mole inside HS. I think Henderson has to know that without the tape or access to it, his ass is grass. And Bierko does know Logan gave him the travel route. I'm sure Karen will find that interesting.
- As far as the "starchamber", "powerroom" goes, I can do without them. I want my villians to have back stories and motivations. I don't want these mysterious, all powerfull bad guys (some of those guys sitting down seemed pretty wussy, too), who can do things that skip over any kind of plot logic. I mean, how do they know what's going on inside the Pres's retreat? (agree there, too, he should have taken off by now)SOMEONE has to tell them, and Jack can find out who. I think the Robocop slime guy will get flushed out and prove to be as effective as Nathanson was. Pretty intimidating on the headset, but easy for Jack to take down outside. Anyway, it just seems that we'll need a scarier, more powerful "starchamber" next year. Maybe the Legion of Doom? Jack can take on Lex Luthor and Bizarro.
- I see Martha handing power over to a bewildered Vice President at the end. Or killing Logan right before his secret service thugs gun her down.
Did someone say showdown between Jack Bauer and Lex Luthor?
OMG I think I just had an orgasm.
/Smallville addict.
//Lex Luthor is yummy.
Ummm, actually I was thinking of the old Justice League cartoons I used to watch (and you should have, too since we are the same age!)on Sat morning in the 70's, or on Boomerang nowadays. But,hey, happy to give you a pleasant thought to get through the afternoon with :)

Well I'm a girl though. I didn't watch that superhero stuff when I was little. I watched ummm... I can't even remember apart from HR Puffenstuff is a vivid memory.
But hey, the actor who plays Lex on SV also voices The Flash on the current Justice league show on Cartoon network. So yeah, there's that.
And yes, thank you for my happy thought :)
I've been thinking about the "18 months ago" remark made by Romano. It did make me think of the handshake-poison attack on Palmer at the end of...what, season 3? Anyway, they did capture the handshake-attacker last season. That badass brunette who was half of the team that seduced Heller's son, remember? She killed her partner and almost escaped; even held Tony hostage for a while. She was captured and...given immunity? I'm not sure I remember. Anyone remember what became of her? Think she's the link in this?
That badass brunette who was half of the team that seduced Heller's son is legenday Mandy, who's a remaining member from the the first season. She was given immunity indeed. She's the only known badass terrorist still at large on the show as far as I know. Anyway, I'm glad you asked this question, as that's exactly what I was wondering..
Just to le you know, I've heard Mary Lynn Rajskub (i.e. Chloe) is appearing in Laura Ingraham's show over the phone on this Friday (the third hour). It's kinda funny to notice the radio show's crew were almost scared about this, as she bemcame such a huge hero figure to them.
What was beginning to look like a train wreck is now showing signs of promise as we enter the home stretch of season 5. Who IS on that plane? What use will Bierko, or Henderson, for that matter, be to anyone? And why is everyone so damned suspicious of Chloe?
I have some theories for the remainder of this season.
1. Barry Landis was the contact Henderson handed the recording to. Kim is on that plane as well.
2. The germans are hella pissed at Logan and Bauer for compromising their investigation of Collette Stenger. But as to why the french and british are there, too? Anybody's guess. Maybe all are in league to defame the US and smear its superpower image. Thus strengthening the euro. Or maybe they are trying to do the same thing our government was trying to do. Protect their oil interests.
3. Pierce is not dead yet. Just detained. And he may well be the one who has to put Martha down when she kills Logan.
4. As for Mandy, I don't think she'll be back this year for the simple fact that it would be too Nina Myers-ish. The repetition would stagnate after a while.
5. The last five episodes are totally going to rock!!!
Later!
The manbag...snort! They call it the "Jacksack" on Dave Barry's 24 blog, which is pretty funny.
At www.fox.com/24 there are profiles of the characters. Tony Almeida has a big red "DECEASED" over his picture. Then I noticed that James Heller has no profile. Is this because he is not that important as in season 4 (where he has one) or not to tell us if he is dead?
michael
Well, only the main characters are getting a profile on the official site. Devane was just a supporting actor this season, so he's not qualified to have one.
