Rick Schroder Joins the Cast!
Ohhh the pretty overload. Rick Schroder is joining the cast as a regular (which I hopehopehope means he won't be killed off too quickly.)I just loved him in Lonesome Dove. Oh and he was on some big sitcom back in the day. Can't... quite... remember the name of it though... ;)
Oh yeah and NYPD Blue.
But it will be cool to see my Newt Dobbs side by side with Kiefer Sutherland.
Schroder has signed on for a regular role on the series, which returns for its sixth season next month. He'll play CTU operative Mike Doyle, teaming with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) to pull off key field operations.

Okay "teaming with Jack Bauer" usually DOES mean "getting killed off real quickly". Hope it doesn't happen to him if you like him.
A friend of mine mentioned "silver spoons" or something like that, would that be what you're looking for??
Well, I said "joining the cast as a regular" not "teaming with Jack." The word 'regular' gives me hope.
And I did know the name of the sitcom ;) I was making a joke that Schroder, despite his great work on other projects (Lonesome Dove, NYPD Blue) he is still pretty much remembered for Silver Spoons which was very popular in the states back in the 80s.
Oh okay, sorry 'bout that, I had never heard of that and thought you didn't remember it for real.
That's what being in different continents will do to ya.
Then again, concerning the teaming up with thing, it says it right on the post though, in italic "He'll play ..... teaming with Jack Bauer to pull off...." ... we'll keep our fingers crossed for him.
