Another Addict
I usually watch 24 all by myself in my bedroom with the lights out, the ringer on the phone off, and the cat locked in the bathroom. But when Bush buggered up the schedule and forced FOX to replay 6-7am on F/X a couple of times, I had one of those eps on in the background as I worked on the comp. So my daughter happened to watch it, and was gobsmacked at Chappelle's death. Soon after, I asked if she'd be interested in doing some marathon 24-ing to see if she liked it. She said yes and so we covered Season One, Season Two and Season Three (up until last week's show of course) over two weekends.
She. Is. Hooked with a capital 'H'.
I debated on whether I should allow her to watch the show as it is quite emotionally wrenching, somewhat graphically violent etc. etc. She's nearly 13 by the way. But my daughter is unusually mature for her age and I took a chance and let her. I have to say that we had such a great time getting into the show and she can now join me for '24 spotting' (y'know, when you spot George Mason in Apollo 13 - stuff like that.)
She wanted to watch it all so that we can watch the final episodes together and I'm really looking forward to it :) Just thought I'd blather on about that before tonight's show. Don't forget that there will be a webcast of 24inside right after the show and this week it features Carlos and Reiko. Apparently there will be a webcast after the rest of the eps this season so Woot! :)
